The rise in homeschooling is a trend affecting all areas of the U.S., cutting across economic and regional lines. Parents are gravitating towards homeschooling due to various factors, such as dissatisfaction with the public school system, a desire to provide a customized education, safety concerns, and issues of morality and religion. Despite a slight decline from the previous year, the 2021-2022 school year saw an estimated 3.135 million K-12 students being homeschooled, a number that is significantly higher compared to two years ago. Financial support in the form of educational vouchers from 32 states may also contribute to this ongoing trend.
