The declaration could lead to vaccine passports for international travel and an increase in abortions, experts claim. Although eleven nations voiced their refusal to accept the declaration, the U.N. insists that it has been adopted. The WHO is due to discuss amendments to the International Health Regulations including the term definitions like ‘vaccine’, ‘pandemic’, ‘safe’, and ‘effective’, and the Global Digital Health Certification Network, typically known as the ‘vaccine passport.’ Law & Activism Committee member Jim Roguski urges national leaders to reject these amendments and for the public to stay informed and vocal about these negotiations.
