The Maria Lanakila Church in Lahaina, Maui, stood defiant amidst the devastating wildfires that swept across the region in August. Despite the nearby area, including trees on the church's property, being severely damaged, the church sustained minimal damage. This event has been regarded as a "miracle" by Rev. Terrance Watanabe. In addition, the Harvest Kumulani church was also spared. The fires scorched over 2,170 acres and tragically resulted in the loss of at least 99 lives.

What is your interpretation of the survival of the Maria Lanakila Church and the Harvest Kumulani church amidst the destructive wildfires?
A Catholic Church is Maui was one of the only buildings left unscathed during the deadly wildfires that broke out in August, according to the Christian Post.
