The Texas State Board of Education will now include content for grades 4 through 12 on the dangers of communism.
Just when you thought Texas couldn’t be more of a patriotic state, Senate Bill 24 landed on the desk of the governor, which will mandate schools warn all students about the stupidity and dangers of communism. The content will be taught to kids in classes in grades 4 through 12, and will be age appropriate depending on the grade and age of the students.
Topics such as “the history and tactics of communist movements in the U.S., historical events and atrocities attributed to communist regimes, including the Cultural Revolution, Holodomor, Great Terror, Cambodian genocide, Cuban communism, and Latin American guerilla movements,” according to an email received by Poll2Action from the Pro-Family Legislative Network.
Much of this education was taught in other Western states, such as the U.K., at least through the early 2000s. (RELATED: Religious Release Time Passes In Texas)
