TODAY.com published the least original list of hobbies to try … ever … in early 2025, so we thought we’d share some of their ideas with you today. Be warned: they are depressing.
The writers over at TODAY.com listed “gardening” as the top hobby you should try in 2025. Why? Because we’re all terrified of the food we’re consuming from supermarkets and what might be in it. Self-sufficient gardens and chaos gardening are two themes on the rise for the coming year, which sound like a lot of fun.
Staying At Home
Hiring contractors and handymen is looking like it’ll be a thing of the past once 2025 is up. Home improvements are now staying at home, with more and more homeowners looking to take on small projects themselves. We highly recommend hiring electricians and plumbers and all other experts when necessary.
Staying on the theme of at-home hobbies, TODAY.com literally thinks “at-home cooking” is (a) a hobby, and (b) something we’re all suddenly now discovering?! The only thing sillier than thinking that “cooking” is a new hobby — something we’ve done since the cave — would be suggesting “reading” as a “cool new trend” … which is essentially what they did. Knitting and journaling and playing on sports teams rounded out the list, suggesting the theme for new hobbies in 2025 is: saving money by staying home?
