Forbes published a story in mid-October where they listed their top places to travel in the U.S. in 2024. What do you think of these locations?
First for Forbes was Aptos, California, near Santa Cruz. This beachy area is pretty much unknown to most, but apparently worth the expense of the Golden State. Next up was Canyonland National Park, Utah. “The U.S. Southwest is smattered with national parks, but a handful always get overlooked—Canyonlands being one of them. If you want to avoid the crowds and get off the beaten track (like, you’ll need a four-wheel-drive vehicle remote), consider a trip to Canyonlands. The park is Utah’s largest at 527 square miles and includes three districts, each with unique geography,” writes Forbes. (TAKE A POLL: Is It Necessary To Increase Funding For Veterans’ Services?)
Kodiak, Alaska, is yet another spot on this list that may seem off the beaten track for most … but not for pop superstar Pit Bull, who visited the remote location after a viral marketing campaign went perfectly awry (it is a long story).
Where Else?
While most of Forbes list focuses on specific unique locations, they also just wrote “Wyoming.” Where in Wyoming? All of it, one presumes. “Yellowstone and the Tetons need no introduction, but few visitors spend time in the rest of the state. Outdoor enthusiasts should make the effort to explore deeper, with options for fishing, hiking, horseback riding, snowmobiling and so much more easily accessible—and without the crowds of neighboring states,” the outlet stated.
The list then deep-dives into all sorts of beautiful regions across the South. However, as many of our members are from the South, we’d prefer not to list them because we like keeping our areas away from tourists, right guys? Instead, why not visit Buffalo, New York, suggested Forbes.
