As we enter the new year, you might be thinking that now is the perfect time to do a boat-load of work, and get ahead on your 2025. But is January actually the most productive month of the year?

No, and it’s not even close.

Research published by Noisli found that fall is the most productive season of the year, with October specifically being the most productive month. November is the second most productive, then September. Some of this may have to do with the start of the new school year. In reality, fall feels more like the start of a new year than January, which is probably why we’re our most productive throughout this season — especially if we’ve had an invigorating summer!

When Are The Other Most Productive Times?

The most productive day of the week for most people is Tuesday, with Monday as a very close runner-up. Surprising no one, Friday is by far the least productive day of the week. (RELATED ARTICLE: Consumers Appear ‘Less Confident’ Going Into 2025)

The hours of 10am to 12pm are traditionally the most productive for adults. However, younger generations are changing this trend with their remote-work schedules allowing for longer lie-ins for the morning. Now, the most productive time of day for younger folks is the early afternoon.
