The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) believes Thursday will be the busiest day of air travel thus far in 2024 as we head out to enjoy the holiday weekend.
Some 53,677 flights are anticipated to take off from America’s airports on Thursday alone, with anywhere from 30,000 to 50,000 flights each day until July 8th, according to WPTV. The FAA warned passengers to check weather reports well ahead of flights, as well as checking the flight status in advance of even getting to the airport.
“We showed up to the airport at 5 a.m. and our flight was canceled. We were able to rebook another flight, but that one is apparently delayed an hour,” one many told WPTV of his day of airport doom. (TAKE A POLL: Do You think Automation And AI Are Threats or Opportunities For the Future Workforce?)
