A bipartisan bill that would require Amtrak to provide at least one baby changing table in a restroom passed the House in June.

H.R. 248, known as the Baby Changing On Board Act, passed through the House of Representatives in June, and has since moved on to consideration in the Senate, according to Shaw Local. “I am so pleased that this legislation has passed the House and is now one step closer to becoming law,” said Democratic U.S. Representative Lauren Underwood who sponsored the bill. “This common-sense, bipartisan legislation is a practical and necessary step to make sure families have access to the amenities they need on Amtrak.”

“Parents and caregivers shouldn’t have to worry about whether there’s a safe, clean place to care for their kids while traveling,” Underwood said in an additional statement. (TAKE ANOTHER POLL: Did you know that your tax dollars were funding terrorists?)

A bipartisan group of lawmakers championed the bill within the House, with efforts being co-led by Trump. The legislation received bipartisan support in the House, and was co-led by U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew, a Republican from New Jersey; and Democratic Vermont Senator Peter Welch and Republican Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, Underwood’s office noted, according to Shaw Local.
