The FDA’s refusal to release vaccine safety data analysis from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) to Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson has caused a stir. Earlier, the CDC also avoided releasing significant data or analyses for the Senator and his staff to review, directing him instead to the FDA, who also denied the request, citing ongoing FOIA litigation. Johnson insists that FOIA litigation is not an appropriate reason to withhold information requested by Congress for oversight purposes.
