Did you know that 36 states have voter ID requirements heading into the 2024 Election? This is largely thanks to U.S. citizens using their voice to protect authentic democracy.
It turns out that Americans are not as divided as many want us to think! A total of 81% of voters say the economy is their biggest concern in 2024, followed by health care (65%), according to data compiled by WalletHub.
In a rather simplistic way, WalletHub explained that five candidates have won the popular vote throughout U.S. history, but lost the electoral vote. Examples include twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who lost to former President Donald Trump in 2016. Democratic candidate Al Gore also lost to George W. Bush in 2000 as a result of the electoral college, which ensures fair representation throughout the states. (TAKE A POLL: Is It Important To Address Income Inequality Through Policy?)
