This is not a drill but a test from none other than the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). They aim to test the might of the national Emergency Alert System (EAS) and the Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) system. Don’t fret, it’s only a test – no action is needed. But, hold onto your seats as this will be the third such test for our beloved cell phones, and the seventh for our faithful television and radio systems. All in the name of national safety!
